OKX to disable trade with USDC on USDT/USD spot pair

To streamline our spot trading product offering, OKX will discontinue support for trading the USDT/USD pair with USDC for new order submissions. Trading with USD, USDG and RLUSD remains supported. For more details on how Unified Order Book works, please refer to our product documentation.

Timeline

  • 20 May 2026 17:00 (UTC+8) - Support for USDC as a trade currency on USDT/USD will be disabled.

What this means for you

Spot order:

  • New orders:

    • You will no longer be able to submit new orders on USDT/USD that trade with USDC.

    • New orders on USDT/USD that trade with USD, USDG, or RLUSD will continue to be supported.

  • Existing open orders:

    • All open orders placed (in USDC, USDG, RLUSD or USD) before the effective time stay active, no system cancellation. You can still:

      • Amend

      • Cancel

      • Execute (fills)

Strategy orders - TPSL, Trailing TPSL, Trigger orders:

  • Strategy orders that have not yet triggered and use USDC as the trade currency will be cancelled by the system at the effective time.

  • Strategy orders that use USD, USDG, or RLUSD as the trade currency are not affected.

Trading Bot:

  • Active Trading bots using USDC will be stopped at the effective time, and their associated open orders will be cancelled by the system.

  • Bots using USD, USDG, or RLUSD will continue to run as normal.

  • New bots can be created with USD, USDG, or RLUSD as the trade currency. USDC is no longer available.

Unaffected:

  • USDT/USD remains available for TradeWith USD, USDG or RLUSD spot trading.

  • Your existing balances in USDT, USDC, USDG, RLUSD, and USD are not affected.

Before the effective time

  • Review your active strategy orders and trading bots. If any are set up with USDC as the trade currency on USDT/USD pair, migrate them to USD, USDG, RLUSD, or to the USDC/USDT standalone pair above. This avoids unexpected cancellations at the effective time.
