英国短跑名将 CJ Ujah 因涉加密诈骗案被起诉
ChainCatcher 消息，据英国警方通报，前世界田径锦标赛 4×100 米接力金牌得主、英国短跑运动员 CJ Ujah 与另外 9 人被指控涉嫌“串谋欺诈”，涉及一起加密货币诈骗案件。
警方称，该犯罪团伙通过冒充警方及加密货币公司人员，对多名受害者实施电话诈骗，诱导其泄露包括助记词（seed phrase）在内的关键钱包安全信息，随后转移受害者加密资产，其中一名受害者损失超过 30 万英镑。该案件由英国东部地区特种行动部门（ERSOU）跨肯特郡、埃塞克斯及伦敦联合调查后侦破。10 名嫌疑人已出庭，其中 Ujah 获准保释至 5 月 28 日进一步听证。
现年 32 岁的 Ujah 曾在 2017 年代表英国队赢得世锦赛 4×100 米接力金牌，并在同年夺得钻石联赛冠军。他在 2022 年因兴奋剂问题被禁赛 22 个月，后被认定为补剂污染导致误检。除 Ujah 外，另一名英国短跑选手 Brandon Mingeli 亦在被捕名单之中，目前已被羁押候审。
