英国央行副行长：代币化可降低成本、加速结算并促进竞争
ChainCatcher 消息，据 Cointelegraph 报道，英国央行副行长 Sarah Breeden 表示，代币化可降低结算成本、加快速度并促进竞争，前提是确保信任和互操作性。Breeden 强调，即使在代币化存款和受监管稳定币等私营部门创新发展的背景下，央行货币仍将是货币体系的基石。她表示，英国央行正与行业、政府和监管机构合作，构建支持创新且不破坏金融稳定的框架。
Breeden 称，除了传统银行存款外，人们还应能使用代币化存款、受监管稳定币以及零售央行数字货币进行支付，更多技术和商业模式的竞争将降低用户成本并改善功能。英国央行周一还提议将其核心结算基础设施的运营时间延长至接近 7x24 小时，以支持跨境支付和证券结算。
